The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to handle day to day accounting responsibilities. This is a hands-on role, with involvement in accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining schedules, and assisting with month-end reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, and experienced in inventory accounting, GAAP, and NetSuite.

What You'll Own

• Overseeing all activities related to accounts receivable function including invoicing, processing deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
• Provide support to Accounts Payable function including review of weekly payments, account reconciliations, and maintenance of weekly cashflow reporting
• Support month-end close by executing account reconciliations (general ledger, bank, credit card, payment platforms) and supporting accrual entries/processes
• Maintenance of prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules
• Reviewing and coding transactions to ensure accurate and consistent assignment to accounts, departments, and business channels
• Manage relationships with external tax partners, ensuring compliance with all sales, use, and income tax payments
• Manage inbound accounting requests - escalating or routing as necessary - and working with internal / external parties to ensure resolution
• Support audits, special projects, and other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth environment
• Knowledge of inventory accounting required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite
• A high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Proactive self-starter, capable of researching new accounting considerations and developing processes for managing them
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Background in CPG, E-commerce and/or manufacturing preferred
• Multi-state sales tax experience is a plus
• Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and/or Rippling are a plus
