Growth Creative Strategist
Woof
Who We Are
Woof is building the next great American pet brand - bringing new life to the industry through elegant, intuitive product design. Proudly recognized among America’s fastest growing CPG companies, Woof is reinventing stagnant sectors to solve real problems for pets and their people.
This is evidenced by our award-winning product ecosystems – The Pupsicle, BullySafe, Bite n’ Brush, and Poomergency – all revolutionizing dog care by providing wellness solutions in a fun and engaging way.
Today, we are experiencing extremely rapid growth, and as such we’re seeking experienced people to take the company to the next level. If you’re passionate about meaningful work, have a bias towards action, and love dogs as much as we do we’d love to have you on our team.
About this Role
We’re looking for a Growth Creative Strategist to be the engine behind Woof’s advertising and performance storytelling. You’ll shape the ideas we bring to market, set the hypotheses behind them, and translate results into a repeatable playbook. This role is both imaginative and analytical: you’ll dream up bold concepts with the team, define the “why,” test them with discipline, and codify what works.
The right candidate is obsessed with what makes a winning ad, has a knack for pulling sharp insights out of messy inputs, and can rally cross-functional teams around clear priorities. You’ll help Woof run faster, smarter, and more strategically, while keeping our brand voice, creativity, and cultural edge front and center.
What You’ll Own
Creative Strategy & Prioritization
- Build the creative strategy for Woof’s advertising channels (Meta, YouTube, CTV, and beyond) across platforms (DTC, Amazon, Chewy, etc.)
- Translate insights into clear briefs and direction for internal creators, editors, and UGC partners.
- Set clear output targets (e.g., number of new concepts/variants per week) to ensure consistent creative throughput.
Testing Framework & Roadmap
- Develop and own a structured creative testing framework: hypothesis-driven testing, success metrics, and iteration plans.
- Organize the creative ideas backlog into a prioritized roadmap, balancing breakthrough ideas with quick-turn optimizations
- Partner with Ecomm & Marketing teams to design tests that generate actionable insights.
Insights & Knowledge
- Build and maintain a central insights hub, capturing consumer motivations, competitive references, and past performance learnings.
- Monitor and analyze ad platform data, market trends, creative performance, and competitor activity to guide new briefs and angles.
- Translate findings into practical frameworks that shape creative direction and future campaigns.
- Share regular performance recaps that detail why creative worked (or didn’t), along with recommendations of what we’ll try next.
Collaboration & Creative Production
- Facilitate creative brainstorms that surface ideas across Marketing, Growth, and Creative teams, creating a culture where the best idea wins.
- Provide direction on copy, ad formats, landing page messaging, and UGC creator content to ensure cohesive storytelling.
- Bring strong creative production chops, supporting pre-production, helping to coordinate shoots, and jumping in to produce or create content directly as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, ecomm, creator/UGC), to ensure campaigns move smoothly from concept to execution.
Process & Systems
- Maintain a clear workflow and single source of truth for all ad creative projects.
- Experiment with new approaches (UGC sourcing, whitelisting, AI tools, lightweight production budgets) to keep Woof’s creative edge sharp.
- Evolve briefs and reporting templates as needed to ensure every project ties back to strategy and hypotheses.
You’ll be great at this role if you…
- Move easily between creative strategy and performance: you can brief a hook and debate testing methodology in the same breath.
- Are a ruthless prioritizer: narrowing from many good ideas to the best 2–3 to test excites you.
- Think in systems: you value process and structure as a tool to scale creativity, not stifle it.
- Write tight, clear hypotheses and briefs that make strategic direction obvious and inspire best in class output from your creative partners.
- Facilitate with low-ego energy; you unlock ideas from others and build on them.
Must-have experience
- 5–7+ years in creative strategy, performance creative, or growth marketing at a DTC or consumer brand/agency.
- Proven record of developing Meta/TOF creative that drove measurable results.
- Hands-on experience with creative testing design and reads (avoiding false negatives, structuring tests for learnings).
- Building and maintaining a creative learning agenda and insights repository.
- Partnering with videographers, editors, designers, and channel managers to move from idea to execution.
- Comfort with platform analytics and incrementality basics.
Nice to haves
- Pet or CPG brand experience.
- Comfort appearing in lo-fi UGC or TikTok-style tests.
- Experience managing UGC pipelines, whitelisting, or creator retainers.
- Familiarity with AI tools for variant generation or creative insights.
- Exposure to landing-page storytelling/wireframing.
What We Offer
- Hybrid work environment (2-3 days in office)
- Flexible PTO Policy
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Employer sponsored 401K
- Annual compensation range: $105-120K
This position will remain open until November 15. Applications will be accepted until this date; however, the posting may be closed earlier if a successful candidate is identified.
