Agile Space Industries is seeking a Facilities and Custodial Technician onsite in Durango, CO. You will be responsible for day-to-day cleaning, basic building maintenance, and general facilities support across Agile’s Durango locations. This role plays a key part in ensuring a professional, organized, and safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural assets to ensure optimal functionality across office and manufacturing areas
- Perform routine custodial services including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash and recycling removal, and restroom cleaning
- Clean and restock breakrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Maintain floors, carpets, and entryways using backpack vacuums, floor scrubbing machines and carpet extractors
- Monitor and replenish custodial and facilities supplies
- Assist with room setups for meetings and events
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or building concerns to facilities or operations leadership.
- Respond to and resolve facilities maintenance requests; record completed work in computerized maintenance management system
- Coordinate with and escort outside vendors & contractors performing specialized maintenance, upgrades and repairs
- Support basic groundskeeping as needed including snow removal and keeping exterior areas tidy
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly, in accordance with OSHA & EPA guidelines using PPE as required
- Assist Manufacturing and Operations as needed with equipment moves and upgrades
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in engineering and manufacturing environments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial, janitorial, and/or facilities maintenance experience
- Basic computer skills for tracking work orders, writing & responding to emails & messages, tracking inventory, and responding to maintenance requests in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; up to 100 lbs using mechanical assists and/or team lifts
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites year-round as needed. Use of personal vehicle for travel between sites may be required. Ability to operate company truck with snowplow
- Basic communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or technical facilities
- Familiarity with safety practices in industrial environments
Employment Type: Non-Exempt
The expected salary range for this role is $21.15-$30.77 an hour. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.
