Agile Space Industries, Inc. (AGILE) designs, builds, and tests in-space propulsion systems for satellites and spacecraft. AGILE uses state of the art 3D metal alloy printing techniques to rapidly design, manufacture, and test new engine designs in our purpose-built propulsion test facility. With over a decade of experience testing rocket engines, and engineers who have worked at industry leaders like Blue Origin, SpaceX, NASA, and Aerojet Rocketdyne, AGILE is a rapidly growing company with many exciting Defense, Civil and Commercial programs.
AGILE is headquartered in Durango, CO with a facility in Mount Pleasant, PA and growing presence in Tulsa, OK. The CEO, CFO and CCO are based around Boulder, CO.
Agile Space Industries is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead and support our growing information technology infrastructure across multiple locations, including our Durango HQ, test sites, and remote offices. This role onsite in beautiful Durango, CO and combines tactical execution with people and vendor management, providing day-to-day IT support while also overseeing network integrity, cybersecurity, vendor performance, and project coordination across sites. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, service-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic, engineering-focused environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure Management
- Own and operate all local and remote IT infrastructure, including wired/wireless networks, firewalls, servers, backup systems, and endpoint devices.
- Lead efforts to monitor, maintain, and upgrade systems to ensure consistent performance, reliability, and security across all Agile locations.
- Serve as the escalation point for critical IT incidents and ensure quick issue resolution with minimal impact to engineering and production workflows.
Team & Vendor Supervision
- Supervise a small internal IT team and manage day-to-day task prioritization, coaching, and performance.
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and MSPs, ensuring SLAs, security standards, and support expectations are met.
- Coordinate procurement and lifecycle management of hardware, software, and licenses in line with budget and growth forecasts.
Cross-Site and Cross-Functional Support
- Maintain consistent IT standards and documentation across all Agile sites (Durango, Mount Pleasant, Tulsa, etc.).
- Collaborate with test, engineering, and manufacturing teams to support specialized systems (e.g., test data acquisition, CAD/simulation workstations, remote monitoring).
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and IT access provisioning across locations and teams.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Best Practices
- Working with our cybersecurity compliance and monitoring vendor, deploy and implement adherence to cybersecurity protocols and regulatory frameworks required (e.g., ITAR, DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC).
- Administer access control, endpoint protection, and patch management across users and devices.
- Promote and train internal teams on secure IT practices and data-handling procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT systems/network administration with at least 5 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Strong technical background in Windows and Linux environments, physical and cloud networking, and data storage systems.
- Experience managing MSPs, hardware/software vendors, and IT project rollouts.
- Proven ability to support and coordinate IT operations across multiple physical sites and cross-functional IT team.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with engineering software environments (e.g., SolidWorks, MATLAB, ANSYS).
- Exposure to compliance frameworks including ITAR, DFARS, NIST, or CMMC.
- Experience supporting telemetry systems, real-time data processing, or simulation environments.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) or other ITSM platforms.

Salary: $123k-$170k
